Real Life Counseling is proud to work with a wide range of insurance providers to make mental health care accessible and affordable. We understand that navigating insurance can be confusing, and we're here to support you through every step.

4-683x1024Staying in Compliance

We comply fully with the No Surprises Act, which means you’ll never be surprised by hidden fees or unexpected bills. Once your intake session is scheduled, our team will provide a Good Faith Estimate outlining potential costs through your secure client portal. You're also encouraged to contact your insurance company directly to understand your coverage, copays, deductibles, and any out-of-pocket costs.

Important Notes About Insurance

- We work with a diverse team of over 100 providers, but not all are in-network with every insurance company.

- When you fill out our Request an Appointment form, our team will pair you with a provider who is in-network with your specific insurance and aligns with your preferences and needs.

- If your insurance changes, you will need to resubmit your updated insurance information through your client homepage to avoid disruptions in billing or care.

- Insurance is a shared responsibility between the client, provider, and administrative team. It’s essential that we have accurate information, a clear understanding of potential costs, and open communication so we can collaborate effectively if any barriers arise.

Private Pay Options

If you're not using insurance, private pay rates start at $80 per session and vary based on the provider’s expertise and credentials. Paying directly for your counseling services offers several important benefits. Each provider at Real Life Counseling is an independent contractor and sets their own private pay rates, which may vary based on experience and specialization. Direct payment can often be more affordable and provides increased privacy, as we are not required to share your mental health records, diagnosis, or treatment details with your insurance company. It also ensures that your counseling history will not impact future decisions related to health, life, or legal insurance. Additionally, private pay clients are free from restrictions or session limits that may be imposed by insurance providers, allowing for more personalized and flexible care.
