Our History
Joseph Klemz, a practicing counselor, founded Real Life Counseling in 2010 in Camas, Washington.
Before starting his own practice, he worked for five years in community mental health, serving adolescents and families with severe mental health issues.
From this background, he developed a desire to positively impact the community and create change through mental health services.
The practice has moved six times since its inception until we found our current home.
From closet-sized offices with ant invasions daily to office neighbors in rock bands – we’ve seen it all and then some.
But no matter the situation, we have always managed to serve our clients and our community with the best in mental health services.
