Find Counselors by Location
We work to accommodate location/counselor requests and recognize the preference of those. In situations where a location or counselor may be full, we may offer an alternative option with another location/counselor that you are welcome to accept or decline.

Bio
Hi, I'm Jaleelat! I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and I'm currently in my second year of the Master of Social Work program at CSUN. Over the past five years, I've had the privilege of working with various non-profit organizations and for the last year, I've focused on community mental health. During this time, I've supported marginalized communities through individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care, helping people navigate challenges like trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and high-risk behaviors that could lead to interaction with law enforcement.
My counseling style blends Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, empowering individuals to face challenges head-on and promote positive change. I also use Cognitive Behavioral techniques, tailoring them to fit each person's unique needs. At the core of my practice are compassion, collaboration, and a strong belief in everyone's capacity to heal and grow. Since no two people are the same, I take a personalized approach, knowing that what works for one person might not work for another. I aim to create a space filled with kindness, empathy, support - and a bit of humor when it's needed.
I'm passionate about helping others grow and feel empowered by using a strength-based lens, trauma-informed care, and an intersectional approach. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your strengths, process trauma with sensitivity, and better understand how your unique identities shape your experience
While this journey may be challenging, you won't have to face it alone - I'll be with you every step of the way.
I work under the supervision of Eve Parker, LICSW
