Getting Started

When you’re ready to take that first step toward care, we’re here to make it simple. Just click any of the Request an Appointment buttons on this page to fill out a quick service request form and get started. Our team will then process your request and follow up with you for scheduling. 

Sessions will start within 1-2 weeks after submit your request form.

Service Request Form

Our service request form only takes about two minutes to complete! It helps us learn more about your scheduling, location, and provider preferences, your insurance details, and what you’re hoping to work on — so we can connect you with the right support from the very beginning.

 

Processing Time


After you submit your request, our team gets to work verifying your insurance and matching you with a provider who fits your needs and preferences. This usually takes about 24 business hours. If we need any extra details to complete the process, we’ll reach out right away to keep things moving smoothly.

 

Tentative Session 

Once your request has been processed and we have a provider available, our team will email you with your session details and a link to your provider’s bio. You can simply let us know if you’d like to proceed with the tentative session.

Incase you miss our email we will follow up with you via text and another email. 

If we don’t have a provider who meets all of your preferences but could still be a great fit, we’ll let you know. This might mean seeing a provider at a different location or outside of your preferred schedule. Rest assured, we will always pair you with a provider who accepts your insurance and meets your needs as closely as possible.

 

30 Day Waitlist

If we don’t currently have a provider available who fits your needs, you have the option to be added to our 30-day waitlist. During this time, we’ll do our best to schedule you as soon as a suitable provider becomes available.

If 30 days pass and we still don’t have a provider for you, we’ll let you know and provide helpful community resources to support you in the meantime.

 

Alternative Support 

If we don’t have a provider available and you prefer not to join our waitlist, we will still share community resources that may offer additional support. You’re also encouraged to submit a new request at a later time, in case our availability changes.

What happens after you are scheduled? 

Once you’re scheduled, our intake team will send you a welcome email with all the details you need, including an invitation to set up your client portal account. Your intake forms will be available there, and the portal will be a helpful tool throughout your time with Real Life Counseling.

Once your portal is set up and your intake forms are complete, you’ll be all set to meet your provider and start your journey towards healing.

If any concerns come up, or if you’d like to try working with a different provider, our front desk team is here to help and guide you every step of the way.
