Bio
Do you need someone to listen, validate, reflect back, and treat what’s hurting you? I provide individual therapy for adults impacted by trauma and neurodiversity. I’m LGBTQIA+ allied, trauma-informed, religiously neutral, and ready to support you wherever you are in life. If you need support in one of the following areas, please reach out.
ADHD - Many adults have not received the support or skills development they need to live a full life with ADHD. Perhaps you weren’t diagnosed until adulthood and feel like you missed the boat. Maybe you haven’t even been diagnosed yet, but you think you have ADHD. Maybe you’re struggling with shame, disappointment, anxiety, and stuckness. I can help you develop skills to live – and even thrive – with ADHD. Trauma / PTSD - If you are haunted by traumatic events, you may benefit from Written Exposure Therapy (WET). WET is a first line treatment for PTSD; studies have found it to be an easier trauma treatment for people to tolerate because it involves writing rather than talking about the event/s out loud.
Religious Trauma - Your religious trauma could have happened in church, at home, in school, the workplace, or any place where an authoritarian spiritual leader abused the power they had over you. There is freedom on the other side and I would love to be a guide and companion as you heal.
ABOUT ME
I am licensed as an associate clinical social worker in the state of Washington. My education includes a master’s degree in social work from Portland State University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Fresno Pacific University. I’m a survivor of high-control religion and have many loved ones who are neurodiverse (though I am neurotypical). I’ve been a nonprofit leader for an international humanitarian organization, a self-employed communications consultant, and co-founder of an art gallery and co-working space.
Becoming a therapist came later in life for me, which allowed me to wander and gain a full spectrum of life experiences that I now bring to my practice. I love to learn, get into the details that matter, and connect the dots in my clients’ lives. For fun, you’ll find me hiking, cooking, writing, or dreaming up my next travel adventure.
