Bio
I specialize in working with couples and families, especially those experiencing struggles with neurodiversity, combat-related PTSD, Chronic PTSD and generational trauma. The populations I work with most often are LGBTQ, veterans, non-monogamous, neurodiverse and chronically ill individuals and families.
I also have experience working with substance abuse, extreme anxiety, anger, infidelity, eating disorders, and life transitions. My approach focuses on looking at the whole system and incorporating multiple family members with the goal of creating lasting change. I believe that focusing our energy on positive changes helps emphasize positive experiences, by focusing on celebrating growth and accomplishments to truly welcome and celebrate the whole, integrated identity of my clients. I strive to intentionally affirm each person’s individual identity and to treat each client as the unique human that they are. I view counseling as a collaborative effort in helping clients to recognize strengths, identify needs, understand conflicts, discover new options, set personal development goals, and make informed choices that are congruent with the client's values.
