Bio
I hold an MA in Counseling from Multnomah University. I am a licensed mental health counselor in Washington
State, and a professional counselor associate in Oregon. I have a strong background in psychiatric nursing over 20 years in Germany, which enables me to understand complex mental health issues from both medical and psychological viewpoints. My counseling approach emphasizes person-centered and strength-based approach aimed at identifying and building upon a client’s existing strengths, resources, and resilience to overcome challenges. I value a collaborative relationship with my clients, recognizing them as the experts in their own lives. I collaborate with clients who are encountering a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, addiction, and personality disorders. Furthermore, I provide assistance to individuals grappling with stress, relational difficulties, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Central to my practice is the significance of fostering a robust and supportive therapeutic relationship, which I deem essential for facilitating meaningful growth and healing. I aim to cultivate a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings. I strive to assist clients in gaining insight into their experiences, developing effective coping strategies, and achieving their personal goals through a compassionate and evidence-based approach.
