Tsehaye Zerihun, also known as Sunney, is a compassionate, dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) with a humble character who can accept and adapt to different people and situations. Sunney has fruitful experience helping individuals and families overcome struggles and achieve their objectives by creating a safe and supportive environment. Sunney believes in the collaborative work of therapeutic relationships, which allows a client to be seen, heard, and understood, creating awareness and leading to empowerment. With a Master of Arts in Counseling from Jessup University Multnomah Campus (2024), an Associate in Marriage and Family Counseling from Ethiopian Evangelical College (Ethiopia, 2009), a Bachelor of Naval Science in coastal navigation and leadership from the Ethiopian Naval Academy (1991). Sunney has worked with diverse populations and cultures, including adolescents, Adults, Couples, families, and Individuals.

Sunney prefers to utilize integrative therapeutic techniques based on individuals' needs, such as Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Strength Base Therapy (SBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and psychoeducation in group practices. I also offer bilingual counseling services in the Amharic Ethiopian Language upon request. I have experience and competence in multicultural counseling.

Outside counseling practice, Sunney spends quality time with family and is involved in community volunteering services, supporting parents in raising resilient children from diverse cultural backgrounds. Tsehaye (Sunney) is also passionate about Soccer and Martial arts; playing soccer for fun and watching the game are lifelong hobbies.
