Population Adults, Couples, & Families
I believe that therapy is a collaborative and relational process. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where individuals, families, and couples can explore their experiences, uncover barriers to growth, and develop meaningful change. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, emphasizing authenticity, empathy, and collaborative goal and problem-solving.
I integrate techniques from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, and Gottman to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs. I also incorporate elements of trauma-informed care to help individuals navigate past experiences with greater self-compassion and resilience. My goal is to empower clients with the insight and skills necessary to move toward healing, connection, and fulfillment. I have training in couple’s counseling, individuals, and families on issues with communication, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, marital struggles, stress, and life transitions.
My background includes working as a crisis counselor for Crisis Text Line and receiving my master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. I'm a member of the International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society and received the Capella University Legacy Scholarship. I also belong to the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).
Outside of my work, I enjoy indulging in my creativity through writing, painting, drawing, and crafting, and I love traveling and discovering hidden gems within the city.
