Bio
Hi, I’m Corey (she/her), and I want to help you move from overwhelmed to empowered. If anxiety, stress, or a big life change has knocked you off balance, you’re not alone - and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work with teens and adults who want to feel more grounded, build emotional resilience, and face life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oregon. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Portland.
I have worked in mental health since 2008, in a range of settings including outpatient clinics, community-based programs, family services, residential treatment, and private practice. My counseling experience includes providing individual therapy for children, teens, and adults, community-based child and family counseling, outpatient counseling services for a wide range of mental health diagnoses, and case management services. I’ve served a diverse group of clients across the full lifespan - which has shaped my inclusive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach.
I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is foundational to meaningful growth. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore difficult issues. I use empathy, humor, and genuine connection to help clients find their inner courage, gain insight, and develop the tools needed to take control of their lives. I’m trained in evidence-based practices; with a strong emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I also integrate Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, and Solution Focused approaches. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and much of my work focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, low mood, and stress-related challenges. More importantly, I will tailor therapy to meet your individual needs and goals.
I am a wife and mother of two amazing children. I live a very active lifestyle and enjoy being outside, going on adventures with my family, and running. You can find me in the gym where I enjoy teaching group fitness classes. I also love the beach, music, and chocolate.
