Scott has a Masters of Arts in Counseling (MAC) from a CACREP accredited counseling program at Western Seminary (2023) in Portland Oregon. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State. He is also registered with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is recognized by the State of Washington as a Mental Health Professional (MHP). He has a previous career in pastoral ministry and business leadership. All together Scott over 40 years of working with individuals, couples and families in assisting them to thrive in their various roles. My approach to counseling is Person Centered where I connect with my clients through curious, empathetic and unconditional acceptance. My goal is to create a safe supportive environment , allowing you to use self-exploration to become aware of areas that might be hindering your growth, I incorporate techniques and interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy and attachment based approaches. Combining these approaches allows individuals to better understand themselves and find productive solutions in the context of their current environment. Outside of counseling I enjoy, spending time with my wife of 40 years, my adult children and 8 grandchildren. Additionally, I enjoy all things outdoors, cooking and working on our land
