Sonja Vegdahl, PhD, LCSW, LICSW

Bio

Personal and relational challenges are deeply shaped by our past, culture, and values. As a therapist, I strive to understand your story and what matters most to you. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and respectful, with an emphasis on helping you move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. I draw on narrative and solution-focused therapies to support your growth.

With over 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker, I’ve worked with individuals, children, families, and couples facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, adoption, and relationship struggles. My training includes a master’s from the University of Chicago and a PhD from Portland State University. Having lived abroad for nearly a decade, I have a deep appreciation for cultural transitions and identity exploration.
