Ryan Tustin, LMHCA
Bio
Spiritual abuse, fundamentalism, Social and relational intelligence, Recovery from traumatic experiences, Leadership and career development and burnout. Ryan approaches therapy as a space for honesty, courage, and renewal. Before entering counseling, Ryan worked in various fields of blue-collar work and in the ministry field. As well, he has been involved in the addiction recovery and after-school programs. His passion is helping individuals navigate the complex interplay between trauma, courage, and meaning. His passion is walking with clients as they face life’s suffering and transitions, rediscovering agency, hope, and a sense of purpose in the process.
In sessions, Ryan integrates existential and humanistic therapy with narrative and trauma-informed approaches. He values authenticity, humor, and curiosity, creating a reflective but grounded atmosphere where growth can take root. While his approach is evidence-based, he also welcomes spiritual exploration when clients desire it as an important part of holistic care.
Ryan enjoys working with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, relationship concerns, and creative or vocational direction. He draws from motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral tools, and existential frameworks to help clients move from paralysis to purposeful action.
