Bio
Hi! I am glad you’re here. I’m the founder of Sylva Collective, a community-centered approach to healing, connection, and recovery from trauma. I believe healing happens in relationship and that we all need a village. I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you can begin that work alongside me.
I’m fully EMDR trained and integrate somatic interventions into my work, offering a holistic approach that honors the connection between mind and body. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I view therapy as a collaborative process that honors your strengths, experiences, and goals. I also enjoy bringing humor, play, and a grounded, gentle approach to our work together.
After nearly 20 years in the corporate world, I returned to school to pursue a career in clinical social work. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Arizona State University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky, with specializations in Clinical Social Work and Trauma Responsive Practice. My professional and life experiences inform my work with clients, allowing me to bring both clinical knowledge and real-world perspective into the therapy space.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy reading fantasy books, creating art, crocheting, and befriending wildlife. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I’m glad you’re here.
