Andrea Davis, LMFT
Hi I'm Andrea and I am a licensed Marriage, Couple and Family therapist (LMFT). I earned my MA from Lewis & Clark College and since then I've worked with domestic violence survivors, people in recovery, and children with high acuity mental health needs and their families in community mental health settings. That means I have experience treating adults, teens, and children with depression, anxiety, PTSD and complex trauma, ADHD, addiction and codependency.
Being a LMFT means that I love talking about relationships! Our relationships shape so many things about us, especially in the context of our mental health. I like to use attachment theory as a lens to help examine how we relate to each other. I also like to help support people by sharing tools to communicate, manage conflict, set boundaries, and to practice love as an action, for others and ourselves! I am LGBTQIA affirming and strive to enact social justice principles in my work with all populations.
Change is hard, it's uncomfortable, and therapy can be as well: but I am grateful and honored to be the person that accompanies you on your path to change. But don't get me wrong, change can be exciting too! This is your therapy, and I'm all about your goals. I use a few different modalities so I can flex to meet your needs best: CBT, and TFCBT Gottman, Solutions Focused therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. So if you're ready, let's do this!
