Jacob Drummond, LMHC

Bio

Jacob works with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as couples navigating relational conflict. He understands that despite efforts to manage these challenges alone, they can continue to impact daily life, relationships, and overall peace of mind. Whether working with adults, teens, or couples,

Jacob is committed to providing support on the path to healing.  Jacob believes that therapy is a process of meeting individuals where they are, offering a safe and non-judgmental space to navigate life’s difficulties. By working with different parts of the self, therapy can help create an inner system of healing and stability.

Training and Background
Jacob is a Marine Corps veteran who brings both personal and professional experience to his work as a mental health counselor. After completing his service, he pursued his passion for helping others by earning a Bachelors in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling.  Jacob is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process distressing memories and experiences. He also incorporates Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients in exploring and strengthening their motivation for change. In his work with couples, Jacob utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to foster deeper emotional connections, improve communication, and promote relational healing.
