Emma Burton, LMHCA
Bio
Emma honors the uniqueness of each person and approaches therapy with compassion, curiosity, and hope. She believes healing takes place within safe, trusting relationships and strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. Emma values the therapeutic relationship and works collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and move toward meaningful growth and change. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges while fostering resilience, hope, and lasting transformation.
Emma enjoys working with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families. She is especially passionate about helping clients heal from past experiences while cultivating greater self-understanding, meaningful relationships, and a deeper sense of purpose.
Her approach is relational, attachment-based, trauma-informed, and holistic. Emma recognizes that our early relationships shape how we understand ourselves, connect with others, and respond to life's challenges. She tailors therapy to each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals, integrating evidence-based approaches that foster insight, emotional regulation, resilience, and lasting change. Depending on each client's needs, therapy may include exploring personal values, understanding different parts of the self, increasing body awareness, examining relationship patterns, learning about the brain and nervous system, practicing mindfulness, engaging in creative expression, or using play-based interventions.
