Bio

Hello, and welcome. Taking the next step toward improved mental health is a meaningful investment in yourself and your future. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and develop the skills needed to navigate life more effectively. Through greater self-understanding, practical tools, and compassionate support, meaningful change is possible.

My priority is to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. I approach counseling with empathy, compassion, and genuine connection, meeting you where you are today. Together, we can explore your experiences, identify obstacles, reframe the past, and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

My person-centered approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. I work collaboratively with individuals and families seeking relief from depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, trauma, grief and loss, abuse, and other difficult life experiences. Our work will focus on developing practical skills, strengthening relationships, promoting healing, and helping you move toward greater peace, purpose, and well-being.

I earned an Associate of Arts with an emphasis in Psychology in 2007, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 2011, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2026. My academic training, professional experience, and personal life experiences have deepened my empathy and shaped my understanding of the challenges people face.

My professional background includes founding and managing businesses dedicated to rebuilding homes, strengthening neighborhoods, and improving families' quality of life. From 2012 to 2013, I worked as a case manager at Catholic Community Services, supporting children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges and trauma. I have also served as a community resource coordinator, spiritual minister, and 12-step addiction recovery group leader, assisting individuals and families in the Denver area.

I plan to pursue certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to expand my ability to support those experiencing PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, grief, abuse, and other traumatic experiences. Many of life's hardships are not chosen, and you do not have to face them alone. It is an honor to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, peace, and a renewed sense of hope.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love camping, hiking, mountain biking, landscaping, and working together on our hobby farm. I value lifelong learning, travel, provident living, and especially service in my church and community.
