RLCBH Full/Part Time Employment Based Clinician

Real Life Counseling provides mental health services to the greater Clark County, WA area.  RLC is a private practice, outpatient provider that works with clients utilizing Medicaid & Medicare Funded Insurances, Private Insurances, and Private Pay. 

Our Sister Company - Real Life Community Behavioral Health

RLC has a sister company, Real Life Community Behavioral Health (www.reallifecbh.com) that houses a Behavioral Health Agency license with the state of Washington.  It too provides private practice, outpatient mental health services in the Clark County, WA area.  It houses all our clinical employment positions for which this position is part of and in applying for this position, you would be applying to be a clinical employee with our sister company of RLCBH.  This role begins as a Part Time position and for those interested in the Full Time position, they would need to establish & maintain a caseload associated with that role.  Both positions are outlined below and are designed to meet the needs of the clinician applying for it (some individuals seek a part time role to supplement another job while others seek RLCBH to be their primary job). 

Full And Part Time Direct Service Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families (if qualified) utilizing evidence-based practices in office and tele-health/virtual settings.
  • Work from a strengths-based/team-based approach in coordinating the provision of services.
  • Clinicians will occasionally interact with community partners and resources as part of some case management activities when the clients present with needing additional resources (e.g. - engaging with their PCP or med management provider, accessing addiction related service, etc).
  • Know or learn the service expectations of our Behavioral Health License, including service and documentation standards (we provide training on this and, as a clinician, would be responsible for following these standards).
  • Complete documentation and billing within expected timelines.
  • For Full Time Clinicians, maintain a weekly minimum billing of 22.5 billable sessions/week, scheduling at least 25 sessions weekly to provide room for cancellations and appointment frequency adjustments.   Part Time Clinicians, maintain a weekly minimum billing of 18 billable sessions/week, scheduling at least 20 sessions weekly to provide room for cancellations and appointment frequency adjustments.
  • Counseling Services - including harm reduction strategies, family systems approach of identifying social roles, relationships, and family functioning and is trauma-informed & utilizes evidence-based interventions.
  • Complete and integrate provided assessments as part of the treatment planning process (e.g. - PHQ9, GAD7, PCL-5, etc) 
  • Full Time Clinicians participate in weekly individual supervision with a direct supervisor (this will also serve as your licensure supervision) and every other week group supervision (also part of your licensure supervision) for 6 hours of supervision provided monthly.   Part Time Clinicians participate in 1 individual supervision with a direct supervisor (this will also serve as your licensure supervision) a month and every other week group supervision (also part of your licensure supervision) for 3 hours of supervision provided monthly. 
  • Full Time Clinicians complete initial orientation training and Relias training within the first week of employment (30-40 hours).  Part Time Clinicians complete initial orientation training and Relias training within the 5 first scheduled days of employment.  Both positions complete annual training as requested (towards your license and in adherence to our Behavioral Health Agency License). All Associate Licensed Clinicians are required by the state to complete 36 hours of CE’s every 2 years, with 6 of those being Ethics hours. 
  • Operate within the Rules and Ethics of your field as outlined in Washington State RCW/WAC and NASW & ACA 

Qualifications and Position Expectations

  • A Qualifying Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling (MA/MAC) that allows you to be a Washington State associate (licensed) for Mental Health Counseling (LMHCA), Social Work (LICSWA)r Marriage and Family (LMFTA), or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC). 
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • Applicants must successfully complete and pass a background check, prior to being offered employment. During the hiring process, an employee must have their Licensed Agency Affiliated, LMHCA, LICSWA or LMFTA. 
  • Be team player/worker - RLCBH takes a collaborative approach to providing services through regular supervision and engagement with other staff members. 
  • Be able to provide services professionally in both office and tele-health/virtual settings with minimal client concerns and grievances filed at no more than one per quarter or five per year.
  • The Full Time Position is based upon a 40 hour week position, Work schedules are flexible and set based on clinician preference, office availability and client availability. (Alternate schedules are available) Clinicians are provided office space to adequately provide their caseload of in-office sessions. We request that requested office space is utilized 75% of the time for completed sessions. Clinicians completing 28 or more sessions weekly are considered "primary" office holders.  The Part Time Position is based upon a 24-hour work week position. The shift starts at 9:00am to 5:30pm, working 3 days a week on a set schedule.
  • It is expected that Clinicians will manage their own license/associate license requirements and maintain an “Active” & “In good standing” qualification in regards to their Licensed Agency Affiliated, LMHCA, LICSWA or LMFTA. This includes adhering to both the Ethical and Legal requirements to provide mental health counseling within WA State.

Benefits

  • Starting wage for both Full Time (40hrs/week) or Part Time (24hours/week) Clinician roles is $34/hour.  
  • Full Time Bonus Incentive. This position is designed for a clinician to have space within a 40 hour work week to add bonus sessions if desired. Clinicians receive 50% of average collected dollars beyond $14,000 per month, average - assessed over a quarterly period (e.g. - January - March, etc).  Must be in good standing with RLCBH to be bonus eligible. 
  • Part Time Bonus Incentive: Clinicians receive 50% of average collected dollars beyond $10,000 per month average, assessed over a quarterly period (e.g. - January - March, etc).  Must be in good standing with RLCBH to be bonus eligible. 
  • For Full Time Clinicians, RLCBH offers a 100% Employer paid premium for Kaiser Bronze for all full-time employees or a Medical Stipend if you prefer to opt out of our plan (options to buy up to higher tier plans are available).  Part Time Clinicians can buy into medical benefits at 100% employee cost.  
  • Full Time Clinicians are eligible for 401K - RLCBH has a 401K plan that you can contribute to and integrates a matching program of up to 3% of your income (starting at the end of your probation period and full vesting at 5 years of employment).  Part Time clinicians can contribute to 401K but are not eligible for matching. 
  • Full Time Clinicians are eligible for 10 Paid Holidays & 2 floating holidays. Paid Holidays can be traded for an alternative day off if preferred within that holiday’s quarter. Floating Holidays do not accrue or carry over into the following year(s).
  • Full Time Clinicians are eligible for Vacation time offered first year, 1 hrs/40 hrs hours worked. Second year earn 1.5 hrs/40 hrs hours worked and 3rd year earn 2 hrs/40 hours worked (about 3 weeks/year).  
  • Full and Part Time Clinicians accrue 1hr/40hrs worked towards Sick Time
  • CEU’s - RLCBH provides a library of training that meets the requirements for all clinicians for the BHA. Also available, on your own time is an additional 100+ hours worth of CEU’s (including Ethics) to support your requirements for your license - free to you. 
  • Free Supervision towards licensure - we provide individual and group supervisions. For LMFTA's, you will also need additional supervision outside of RLCBH in order to complete your requirements towards licensure. 
  • RLCBH is an approved HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) & WA Health Corps site, offering both of their Student Loan Reimbursement Programs with two years or more commitments to employment. Qualifying staff can apply to HRSA for student loan reimbursement while employed with us (during annual application periods). 
  • Additional Positions available upon licensure - RLC houses the 1099 Independent Clinical Contractor role that qualified, licensed providers can apply for.  RLC also has the RLC Internship Program as well as Clinical Supervisor positions with RLCBH (www.reallifecbh.com/employment
  • Independence in setting your weekly schedule (coordinated with client/office availability) as long as production minimums are being met. 
  • We provide you access to referrals in order to help you to maintain your desired caseload. We provide billing services as well as collection services. 
  • We provide you a documentation and scheduling platform that includes a Client Portal for completing all documentation and integrating desired assessments. 
  • We provide you a Telehealth Platform (and device) in which to provide Telehealth sessions. All our positions are a mix of in person and virtual depending on your preferences. 
  • We have a “team” environment and provide regular ongoing support for both clinical and documentation related activities. You’ll have access to regular consultation & support with other team members and a supervisor as you continue to grow into your practice 

Schedule

  • For Full Time Clinicians - Monday - Friday with scheduled Holidays off available for “holiday swap” (alternate schedules are available) We provide flexibility.  For Part Time Clinicians - This position is for 3 days a week, 8 working hours a day, 24hrs/week (Travel, Services Provided, Supervision/s, Documentation) - this job is designed, based on session minimum, to be able to be completed within 24 hours/week. 
  • For Full Time Clinicians - Evenings & Weekends can be a requested option based on client availability and clinician preference. 
  • For Full Time Clinicians - This is a full time position and would be expected to be treated as such.  It is 40hrs/week (Travel, Services Provided, Supervision/s, Documentation) - this job is designed, based on session minimum, to be able to be completed within 40 hours/week. 
  • For Full Time Clinicians - We encourage all clinicians to incorporate an administrative day into their work week - meaning, a day with no sessions scheduled; where documentation, training and researching can be completed. These days fall on a weekday. These are not required, but encouraged as part of the sustainability and case management.   Part Time Clinicians work only 3 days a week.  

Work Conditions

  • Services can be provided in the office and/or via telehealth. Telehealth preference can be increased based upon clinician preference and client availability
